Usually this error occurs a s a result of corruption in the Dreamweaver Site Definition. To fix this error, you will need to delete then recreate the site definition:

Go to Site manage Sites. Select the site you are trying to use the Web Standards Advisor on and click edit.

Go through each tab noting the settings that are used.

Once you have noted the settings, in the Manage Sites dialog, select the site and delete it, then recreate it again using the same settings.

Still Have Problem

Did as told. No change. Same error. FYI...Using DW CS4. Everything was fine in DW CS3. DW CS4 has not/ nor is not crashing and all seems to be working OK with my installation of the Master Collection. No matter which page or page type I open in whatever site I get that error from the Jeffrey Zeldman Extension. I am using v1.0.1 of the extension...Thanks.

Script Error

I have the EXACT same problem.

I had the older version of the 1.0.0.0 and had not used validated it. I uninstalled the older version and got a error during the uninstall of the extension saying that panel 157 could not be found. It uninstalled, and I closed DW in CS4 and then restarted DW, installed the latest verion, and got this error.

More Information

To Jason: Had emergency trip out of state. Am back now.

More Info: I only rcv. the mouseup error in sites that were built and defined with DW CS3 and "imported" into DW CS4. Sites made and defined with DW MX2004 and "imported" into DW CS4 work fine with the Validation extension. I have rebuilt the sites that do not work with the extension in DW CS4 but to no avail. The Web Standards extension simply will not work with my sites. Can you say ANNOYING? I am sure there is a fix but I can't, and don't have the spare time to keep experimenting but would sure like my INVESTMENT to work as designed.. Bob

I STILL have the problem

To be honest....I gave up on the extension. As much as I liked it I simply do not have the time to consistently and constantly go back and forth with support. I am a producing shop and any annoyance such as this extension detracts from my bottom line...not to mention the initial investment in this peice of software. Mine doesn't work and I get the feeling it never will. HOWEVER, IF you should find the solution I would be most appreciative if you would share on this thread or contact me directly at webmaster (at) thelowryhouse.com...Good Luck...Bob
