retrieving record number from a DW recordset

when i use dreamweaver to bind a new recordset and test the sql statement, in the displayed results, as well as the data, you get the record number displayed.

i want to be able to retrieve this record number to use elsewhere, can anyone tell me what syntax i need to retrieve it?

Craig,

do you mean the id number from the database or the position of the record in the recordset ?

Hi Dave.

i mean the position (row number) of the record in the recordset.

i'm sure i did this using mysqli, but the syntax is different when the rs is created within DW.

This is what I use in DW to do this Auto Numbered Records with a DW Recordset
