You say that you are getting a js error, when does this happen for you and what are you doing when this occurs? Also what is the exact error message? Please translate it if it is not in English.

In order to help you get your store working we will need to know about what you are having trouble with and need specific help for. Without knowing exactly what you need help with it is difficult to get you the help you need.

As for paid support this is not something that we offer, however you can post in the jobs board if you would like some paid for assistance. Please post back with some more info about the errors and troubles you are having so that we can help you get your store working.

Hi Eric,

the error is gone. It came up when I tried to deinstall eCart 4.5.0

Right now I deleted the Configuration folder in DW9. So i needed to install all extension again. Now the error is gone.

The problem I got with eCart is, that I dont know, how many pages I need and where to put which serverbehavior.

I get to the point, where the user has to click the checkout button. Till there all is easy.

Then I want to setup, a paypal paymet like you got on your site. The customer data comes sout of the database, cause the user is logged.

I use the checkout wizard, but there I cant choose Express Checkout.

So I went to the German PayPal site and got my own API for that express checkout.

and, now, I dont know where to start.

I want, if the payment was successful, update the user database table, and set a flag that its payed.

this, is what I need, but dont understand to start.

From my understanding and what searching I have done on the subject Payments Pro is only offered for the US, UK, and CA. Since Express Checkout is a part of the Payments Pro I assume the same goes for that as well.

It seems though if you are able to sign up for an Express Checkout for Germany that it should be supported there. I think the best thing to do would be to try implementing the Express Checkout with the credentials that you have obtained to see if it will work for you.

To do this you are already on the rite track. You should be running the checkout wizard and choose the Payments Pro US. This will include both the Direct Pay and Express Checkout options for you. You can continue through the wizard and generate the pages. After the pages are generated you can update the checkout page to remove the Direct Pay portion of the form and use only the Express Checkout. If the credentials you have are correct for this service then I think it should work for you.

If you get rid of the form on the checkout page you will essentially just remove the Direct Pay functionality. Please give this a try and let us know how far you get and what the result is.

Hi Eric,

as far as I can see, it seems to work.

When press the Express Checkout, it goes to Paypal, gets the User Information and goes back to pp_confirm. Finish shopping, it goes to the success page.

means...

Now I only need to update the User database table. where do I put that? At the "pp_checkout_success". Just with Dataassist ON PAGE LOAD? Or do I have to check again if the payment is right?

In order to make the user update portion secure you should add it into the pp_confirm page. In here just add in the DataAssist insert or update and set the trigger to same page load. Just leave the redirect page blank. The PayPal server behavior on this page will take care of the redirecting for you.

After you apply this to the page you will need to check to ensure that the server behavior occurs after the PayPal server behavior. So long as it is in this order it should work for you.

The reason it works like this is because the PayPal server behavior on this page will send you directly to the failure page if the transaction fails. If it is successful it sets a redirect variable so that you can do other processing on the page before going on to the success page.

Eric,

it works! GREAT. (Important to change US to DE and USD to EUR) :-)

And it was easy if you know how it works.

THANKS so MUCH!

You are very welcome and I'm glad to hear that you are getting used to the product. A little experience goes a long way when using these tools, as you have experienced it can be a bit to get a handle on if it is not something you have done before.
