Installing MySQL Problems Hostname User Name and Password on local machine

Hi

I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled several times! The issue I have is finding out what the host name and user name and password is on local machine.

Tried Computer Name as Host with the admins user name and password but keep getting access denied messages.

How do I find out what the default host name, user name and password to use for a local machine.

The local host name is usually localhost or localhost
