Upload and convert to PDF

Is there a way to use the DFP to upload an image and have the system convert the file to a PDF. I have a client that requires all upload be in PDF for system compatibility and I'm not sure where to start with this using DFP. I know we can convert to image formats but can we do the opposite??

Cheers

Jaffa,

I believe it would depend on what is being converted... such as, do you want to be able to convert documents to pdf's or images?

Also, while Digital File Pro won't be able to convert it to a PDF, I think there is a way in PHP to convert documents to PDF... I remember being able to generate a PDF on the fly from another file while writing ColdFusion apps but I have never had to do in PHP but I think I read somewhere that it could be done... does anyone else have any input on creating PDFs with PHP?

I was hoping to convert image files to PDF(jpg or png). I've had a search on the web but nothing specific comes up. Would be a great thing to implement!

Jaffa,

Check this out: www.fpdf.org/

That should do what you want... you could also use the standard PHP PDF Lib commands to actually dynamically create the PDF page and then insert images into the PDF page. See here for that: function.pdf-load-image.php

Best of luck,

Brian
