php project

I have a project that I need to make. I will lay it out of what I need, if anyone can advise me of what extensions and how to go about starting this, i would be thankful.

there are 30 users
each user has a race team with 6 drivers (1 from each group)
6 groups of drivers (each group has 8 drivers)
each user can make a driver change but limited to 4 changes for the season (36 races)
but users can not make changes on race day ( that date will be set a start of season 36 different dates)

need to have users to have there own page with their divers that they can edit to make changes,
and then changes would be able to viewed on a master page with all users drivers

any help to get me started would be appricated, thx RJweb

1. CSS Sculptor to design the site
2. DataAssist 2 to build the backend for the database
3. SecurityAssist to handle the login and to restrict access to admin pages

Would get you started. You can add fancy stuff later.

I would have tables for the users, groups, drivers and races. You would keep all the race info in the race table and pull cutoff dates from there to control when users could make changes.

You might want a master table to hold all the information pulled from the individual tables, so that users could change their anything in it that had their ID assigned to it. This would make it look like each user had their own page, but make it much easier to maintain. When they log in, they would be restricted to their own stuff.

Spend a lot of time in the database design stage to avoid surprises and costly rewrites.

Thx for your info, now I already have the site up, its like my 10th year, so I am pertty good css xhtml, but not a expert. where I need the guidence is the php stuff, i have some php on site registration, login etc. did them through tutorials. This wa extensions I am lost, so that is why I am trying to get a handle on it, with this project.
