Rewrite code on click in DW.. Anyone else

Hello,
I know Ray is dealing with some serious things so this question is to anyone else using DW on a Mac.

If I do anything regarding WA extensions ( I mainly use iSQL behaviours ) DW will rewrite the code on the page making it useless.
Check the attached video for an example.

Also here are the top couple lines from the example page :
The screen shot shows missing initial characters but the cut n paste shown below illustrates the code is still properly preserved. BUT, if I save, it saves the messed up code in the screen shot.

This is the same case on multiple versions of DW (2019 and 2021).
My computer is a new M2 MacBookPro

Basically, this removes the ability to use these extensions.

Again, I know Ray is predisposed with more pressing issues so I'm wondering if anyone else is having similar problems?

I was working on a colleague's server the other day and noticed some fails. It turns out he had set his server to php 8 and my server is 7.1. Once we changed his php version, database worked. I have no idea if this is what you are seeing but worth a shot.

It happens on any PHP version and the current one is set to 5.x

It's like the display (code view) rewrites wonky changes while the visual mode still respects the correct prior code. Also, that cut n paste where the code showed as truncated and changed but the Cut code when re-pasted still looked good.

This does not happen on the PC and I will retest on another PowerMac but this time a M1 version rather than my M2.

Just wondering where you say "current one is set to 5.x "... is that the DW setting for PHP or the actual web server running version of PHP?

I have come across some weird errors, and after an Un-install ... reboot of PC, and then a Re-install of ALL extensions has settled some problems.
You may want to download the extensions again as well, as maybe there is a corrupt file there...

I've had it happen a few times on PC as well. It is relatively rare, but super difficult to debug when it happens since you are looking at one line of code but a different line is being saved and uploaded.

Usually a quick restart of dreamweaver clears it up and I usually only see it a couple of times per year. It is a dreamweaver bug of some sort that I'm sure they haven't figured out steps to reproduce.

I'm glad it's not unique to me or the Mac but the restart does not work so I will just occasionally check Adobe for an update :-(
