upgrading to php8 - errors

Hi Ray, I've recently installed php8.2.1 on my dedicated server and I'm gradually updating my client sites from php7.4.33. I had problems with the first couple of sites but after looking through some other forum posts I was able to fix these by installing the latest version of DA and running insert/update behaviors and updating the login behavior which updated the mySQLi files, and those sites are now upgraded and working fine.

However, I've just tried to update another site which runs PowerCMS and it's giving me a completely different error as follows:

Warning: fopen(../Connections/installed_cms.txt): Failed to open stream: Permission denied in /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/images/installed.php on line 15

Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: fread(): Argument #1 ($stream) must be of type resource, bool given in /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/images/installed.php:16 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/images/installed.php(16): fread() #1 /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/WA_Globals/WA_Globals.php(64): require_once('...') #2 /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/WA_CMS/WA_CMS.php(5): require_once('...') #3 /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/WA_CMS/addtosite.php(8): include_once('...') #4 /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/index.php(47): require_once('...') #5 {main} thrown in /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/images/installed.php on line 16

The installed_cms.txt file is on the server in the Connections folder. Any idea what I can do to fix this?

Try just adding a blank file with that name into that folder. If that doesn't work I'll probably need FTP access to debug and see what is going on.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Mags

I cloned the site onto a testing domain and upgraded that one to php 8.2.1 and it worked fine, so I then copied the files back to the correct domain and it all seems to be working as it should - I didn't have to make any changes to the files so can only think there was a propagation delay. Thanks anyway!
