EROR: Could not connect to Webassist server

Hello there

I have had several issues with the MySQLi behaviours using my local database connection.
Reinstalling has always solved the issue.
Stuck now though - starting Dreamweaver always cranks up 'Installing MySQLi Server Behaviours' and then throws up a dialogue box as shown on the attached.
Any ideas please?

Thanks

Steve

It is possible our website was down temporarily or you may have a firewall preventing Dreamweaver from accessing the internet. If you continue to have issues I'll have to do screen sharing with you in order to debug this problem. You can call me using the number at the bottom of every page of this website or contact me via Skype user: webassist.rborduin

Thanks

Hello Ray

Thank you for this but it's a little awkward time-wise being in the UK - you are 8 hours behind us!
If it helps I have tried the exmancmd path and it gives me a -411 error.
Quite happy to carry out a manual uninstall / reinstall with instructions if that's an option.

If not would tomorrow (Tuesday) about 11:00am your time be OK for a Skype call?

Many thanks

Steve

Yes, try tomorrow at 11 am my time. I probably have to check your firewall and ethernet settings to see why you might not be able to get through.

If you can browse our website then your IP isn't blocked. I'll look into it with you tomorrow to track down the problem.

Resolved

Hello Ray

Well, perserverance has paid off.

Using the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop, I uninstalled the Adobe server behaviours then reinstalled that extension.
When i started Dreamweaver, the 'stuck' WA MySQLi extension completed its uninstall.
The MySQLi extension reinstall using ExManCmd failed again, but using the DMXZone extension manager all went well.

No idea what happened but all is now good.

Thanks as always for your prompt support.
