update query

I am trying to update one field in a table with another parsed field from the same table.

I get the following error message.

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function CONCAT() in /home/w72w9xoqmrbx/public_html/porc/OldBallots.php:14 Stack trace: #0 {main} thrown in /home/w72w9xoqmrbx/public_html/porc/OldBallots.php on line 14

I am sure I have the syntax wrong.

See attached file at line 14.

I also want to add a filter that only updates records where the documentation field is not empty.

I think you would want to use the "Execute Query" Server Behavior and not the Update Server Behavior.

The Update server behavior is for updating the database based on php code (usually form elements). In your example you appear to be updating one row based on another row's value. That can be done entirely in sql using the "Execute Query" server behavior which supports the Concat() function (that is a mySQL function and not a php function).

You can also add a where clause to the end of the SQL statement like:

WHERE documentation IS NOT NULL AND documentation <> ''
