Session not transferring to the next page

Hi Ray

I have 2 pages that identify the page and set a session, as follows:
<?php
if (!session_id()) session_start();
if("" == "") {
$_SESSION["previousPG"] = "1-pages.php?pt_id=".$rsMenuCat->getColumnVal("pg_pt_id")."";
}
?>

and

<?php
if (!session_id()) session_start();
$_SESSION["previousPG"] = "a-pages_Search.php";
?>

I have confirmed that the session exists when on each of those pages.

Both pages have a button to link to a delete page, which should then return the browser to the previousPG

However, when the delete page loads, I get the following error:

Notice: Undefined index: previousPG in /home/sites/14b/8/86408ae480/public_html/admin/a-page-delete.php on line 45

(The deletion works fine, just not the redirection)

Many thanks

Chris

Try using:
@session_start();

instead of:
if (!session_id()) session_start();

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Thanks Ray

I note I had the start session in the head of the page rather than before! Now working properly.

Thanks again

Cheers

Chris
