Text being cutoff in textarea

I have a textarea field on a form and it keeps cutting off the text at 255 characters.

<form name="form1" method="post" action="">
<textarea name="textarea" id="textarea"><?php echo($rsTestArea->getColumnVal("vote_comments")); ?></textarea>
</form>

I have no constraints or styles on the textarea.

When I view the field in phpAdmin, the full text is there. The field is a longtext type.

What could be causing this?

Can I get a URL and FTP access? I'll have to debug this live to see what is going on.

Nevermind!

The problem appears to have been in the table.

I created a new field (longtext), copied the data from the old field to it, and it all displayed fine.

So I deleted the old field and renamed the new field and it appears to be working.

So it must have been some embedded parameter in the old field. I think that field was originally just a text field and I changed it. It must have kept a parameter from the original.
