Script Error in DA Wizard

Script Error in DA Wizard

I'm trying to use the Data Assist 2.0.5 Wizard to create the following pages:

  • Results
  • Insert
  • Delete

But on step 2 of 6 I get a script error as follows:

The dialog appears 8 times, different lines reported, but always "Char: 13"

I've removed the cache file and uninstalled Data Assist 2.0.5 and reinstalled it. Same error persists.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

TM

What version of Internet Explorer do you have installed? Make sure it is the latest version and is updated. If you had a previous version installed, please go into Dreamweaver Preferences, and under the Preview in Browser section, click on the IExplorer browser and edit. Make sure the Application is pointing to the current install of Internet Explorer.

In step 1, are you using a template?

Hi,

Sorry so long to respond. My day job got in the way. :)

IE Version 8.0.6001.18702

IE Location: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

DW Preferences->Preview in Browser

Primary Browser: Firefox
IE Location Specified: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
Step 1 in the DA Wizard is using a template.

I just downloaded, and installed DA 2.0.6 (I uninstalled DA 2.0.5 first and also deleted the cache file).

Same errors persist.

I really need to get this working.

This error may be caused by something on your template, so if you could, try creating the pages without using the template and see if you still get the error.

I succesfully ran the wizard without using a template and then applied the template to the resulting page.

Why the problem with using a template, though, is not clear. I have used this template with previous versions of Data Assist with no issue.

Does the preview show up for you after you close the script errors?

Try clicking on the preview to open up the preview page in the browser. Do you get the same script errors there?

Was this a template that you created or was it created using one of the WebAssist products?
