Creating DataAssist Page

I've noticed when this DB feature is used to create insert, detail, update and search pages and the validation option is left empty, the pages are still created with field validation. This is unexpected behavior.

How are pages created without validation?

Thanks.

You probably have to remove it manually if you don't want it. The wizard allows you to define which fields are required, but even if none are validated, the validation code is still added.

Hmm, well yes I guess.

But that still requires the user to manually edit and remove the redundant validation code from each form field and if there a lot, that's a significant overhead for the developer to undertake. Does this not counter any benefit from having the wizard create the pages in the first place?

I would kinda expect the page design wizard to feature an include/exclude validation, as part of the configurable options.

If you remove the validation from the wizard once, then you can save that updated preset and it won't have validation again. That is just in those presets since validation is applied. You could update the preset and create your own to not have validation.
