sql count

I am trying to retrieve and display the result of a sql count query.

The query works, but how do I get the result to display?

I'm sure it is something simple, but I can't find a direct answer online.

I want the number to display after the word "Count:" (Line 27)

See attached file.

Use a query like:

SELECT COUNT(*) AS SpeciesCount FROM PORC_records WHERE PORC_records.species_number = 260

Then you can display it with:

<?php echo($rsTEst->getColumnVal("SpeciesCount")); ?>
