Is the Databridge version 2.35 I downloaded last September EXACTLY the same as the version I just downloaded last week?

Is the Databridge version 2.35 I downloaded last September EXACTLY the same as the version I just downloaded last week?

I think there may be some differences in the rsobj, validation, and the queryobj support files between my current and my previous v2.35 downloads?

No. Minor updates are added without incrementing the version number. The include files and bug fixes are often updated even though no new features have been added.

(the file you downloaded is the same, but the secondary installer that runs when dreamweaver opens has new updates)

Windows vs. Mac

I am truly confused....so whenever I migrate a site's page that is using Databridge elements to another of my computers (I run Dreamweaver on my iMac, Macbook, Windows PC), I must rebuild these pages on the new location to update any supporting files in the already existing Webassist folder??

Also, if I import a website created on my Mac into my Windows PC, will the Webassist (DataBridge) files continue to work properly?

No, you can just download the pages from the remote site to the local computer so they have all of the files without rebuilding anything.

Windows vs. Mac

That's the way it has always worked - except for now on my Windows 11 PC. Platform make a difference? When I try to open anything on the site, I get a blank screen. When I try to open a page with an HTML editor on it, I get an error: "Please open a PHP document in order to use this interface" (the page is definitely a PHP page).

The site (see Private for the URL) and all of its pages work perfectly on my Mac and on the public server.

That implies an issue with your site definition. It not only has to be a .php page, but it has to have a working testing server defined that runs .php pages.

Windows vs Mac

The site does have a testing server (MySQL via Xampp) and still HTML Editor is very flaky on my Windows 11 PC.I've uninstalled and reinstalled the DataBridge and MySQLi extensions twice but Dreamweaver CC 2020 still doesn't handle the editor right. Sometimes I can open and install it, other times I get the PHP page error. In all cases, I cannot get the "Edit" button to display in the Properties panel so I can make changes to the editor.

My clients really like using this editor so I need to get this to work on my PC.

Have you tested your latest versions of these two extensions in Windows11 and are you sure there are no bugs since DataBridge 2.35 is acting pretty flaky in Win11?

Yes. I'm currently running windows 11 on my machine. Are you also on the latest version of Dreamweaver? If you need help, I'll probably need to do screen sharing with you over the phone so I can test on your machine, since the issues you are having don't seem to be happening for me.

Yes, remote access would be a great help, Ray. Otherwise we'll be going round and round with this.

Let me know when you can work with me on this?

Just post your phone number in the private area and I'll give you a call to look into it.
