simple form, server redirect and recordset on another page not getting form value

Hello all,
I have a simple form with a text field.
I need to validate this field and once submit I want to open a page that contains a recordset.
This recordset will filter a database with the form value field.
I set the form with no action, than added the server redirect server behaviour.
But when I get to the rs page the post value is empty.
How can I create a simple form without insert/update to redirect if succesfull submit?
Hope it is clear enough.
TIA
tony

Set the form action to be the result page you want instead of using a redirect. You can move the validation to the results page as well and set it to redirect back to the first page on failure.

Hello Ray,
usually when I have the form on the same page as the server validation sb I select the form button as trigger.
The result page will contain a RS filtering a table based on the form value received from previuos page (form). I would like to check if this is a valid email address.
What kind of trigger should I select when the validation is on another page?
TIA
tony

You can add the form to the bindings window by clicking the plus button and choosing "Form Data".

Once the form is added, you can use the lightning bolt to set the trigger to the form button and it will function just like it did when it was on the same page.
