Display null linked records

Display null linked records

I have the following query.

"SELECT * FROM PORC_records, aou_list, PORC_classes WHERE PORC_records.record_number = ? and PORC_records.species_number = aou_list.SPNO AND PORC_records.PORC_class = PORC_classes.PORC_class"

In the above query, if PORC_records.PORC_class is null, the record does not display (Ie. The link comes up empty, so the record is not included in the query)..

How can I make all records display even when that field is NULL?

Try this:

SELECT * FROM PORC_records
LEFT OUTER JOIN aou_list ON PORC_records.species_number = aou_list.SPNO
LEFT OUTER JOIN PORC_classes ON PORC_records.PORC_class = PORC_classes.PORC_class
WHERE PORC_records.record_number = ?
