A client has left me for a national cart...

One of my shopping cart clients has left for a national system. What happens now to the license in their name? Can it be recycled to my next cart?

Yes, you can re-use the license if they aren't.

For anyone following along, my client invested in a website with installation of Powerstore, licensed. I do a design/dev one time fee.

So a one-time cost of the store. No yearly license etc. In my operation, I charge $1 a day yearly for hosting. So math: With my system, after license purchase, it costs a cart client $1/day.

This client opted into a system that is a free cart but costs 10% of each sale.

WebAssist cart is a one time fee, no yearly fees. So if my math is right:

Second year, under 10% rule:

Client sells $20,000 in goods, they will be paying $2000 in fees that year.

Second year, under my set up: $360/yr

Expand that out to 10 years:

10% cart = $20,000
WebAssist/my cart: 10 x $360 = $3600

A savings of $16,400.

The math makes such better sense.
