DA Update page issue

I have used DA to create an insert, update and results page for my inventory table.

When i execute the update page after making a change to a record, the follow-on page reports the record has been removed.
However, looking at the sql table, the record remains but its ID (the record key) inexplicably has been changed to zero.

Page attached.

Ok, so the issue was being caused by the ID field being set to 'disabled'. Removing this value fixed the problem.

Yes. Disabled form elements don't submit their values with the form. It is as if they aren't on the page at all.
