New install of PowerCMS2 giving error on install: SELECT VERSION()

Hello, I am trying to install the latest PowerCMS2 download (downloaded it yesterday). I added my code, put in my database info, then the next screen I got this error:
SELECT VERSION()

I did update the PHP version on the server to 7.4

Any ideas what is going on?

Thank you!

The actual error is a bad database connection. I fixed the page to show the correct error message, but check the database server, username, and password settings to make sure they are correct.

Thanks so much - it looks like I did have the wrong database password (definitely my fault) but at least I am glad I was able to identify a wrong error page message :) Thanks so much for your help! It does seem to work now!

I spoke too soon - PowerCMS installed, but it isn't "behaving" correctly. The content preview doesn't seem to updating, and I am trying to add content areas but they are not adding?

when I try to re-add a page (ex: "Contact") it says name already exists, yet it is not showing up in PowerCMS...I have tried clearing cache and it is behaving this way on both firefox and chrome.

It appears to be something with your website cache settings. The page isn't refreshing with the new content even though it is in the database.

I was able to force the page to refresh by adding a url parameter to it like:
https://honestdeception.com/admin_cms/?

Then the new pages show. I'd contact the hosting company and see if this is something they can help with. I'm not a server configuration expert, but it appears your php pages are caching, and that shouldn't happen.

Thanks so much - my client uses GoDaddy - so I will contact them about why the PHP is caching - I had the previous version of PowerCMS on this site and it seemed to work fine. The only server settings I changed was the PHP version.

So according to GoDAddy:
This looks like the issue with the content and the files which has to be reviewed from your end with the help of the web developer.

The shared hosting has the auto cache clear which is enabled. So the PHP is not being cached.

It also looks like, for some reason, my super admin user was wiped out as I can't log into PowerCMS...when looking at PHPMyAdmin, the users table is blank.

I am going to try deleting PowerCMS again and installing fresh again.
