I have a site that is giving me problems and I am going through some if the areas of Google search Console.
I wonder if it is something to do with goggle site verifications.. These seem to have changed over time quite a lot.

Further to our conversations where my site would always default to http:// and not as it should https://

I was able to get this working by placing this code
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.mywebsite.com/$1 [R,L]

in the .htaccess file

Seems to be working fine now. hopefully may assist SEO results
