Cannot upload mp4

Hi. I have added an upload file to my website to upload mp4 files. i have tested it with images and it all works. It uploads the file and it saves the name correctly in the database - however when i try uploading an mp4 file (a very small one 2.15MB) .

It looks like everything works and I don't get an error but no file gets uploaded and the file name doesn't get stored in the database - the other fields get inserted but not the file field. I have amended the php.ini file to upload_max_filesize = 256M ; and post_max_size =256M

I have attached the insert page

If smaller files work then it has to be something with the php settings and not the page itself. If you give me FTP access and a url to test with then I can look into it further.

I got in with FTP, but I don't see a folder for that domain. What is the root folder?

I added a phpinfo.php page to your admin folder.

If you view that page and search for: upload_max_filesize

You will see it is still set to 2M. You must have updated the wrong php.ini file or didn't update it correctly.

Ah ok thanks. I was changing the php.ini file in my root directory - but it isn't using that. I have contacted my hosting provider to change it as I don't have access to where it is. Thank you for all your help.
