John

Session not working on local host, but does on the server.

I reformatted hard-drive. Installed MySQL 8.0.22 and workbench. Imported tables. Installed PHP 7.1. Copied all my website files back. My login session does not pass the session tmpPaid and all of the other tmp session. I tried everything and have confirmed that the session is not being populated or is just not passing from the login page to the confirmation page. I am use Webassist Authenticate function. Can you help?
Also, last year, I had problem with CATCHA function. You added or updated a file pn my computer and it worked. Since I re-formatted I lost that file.

I would try reinstalling WAMP or MAMP or XAMP. Usually sessions not working is an issue in your php.ini file with the session.save_path pointing to a non-existent directory or one with inadequate permissions. It will usually be set correctly by the server installer, so I'm not sure what happened. Unfortunately I'm not a server configuration expert, but if it works on the live server it must be a server configuration issue and not an issue with the php code itself.

What is the captcha issue you are having? That could be related to the session as well. Get that fixed first and post back with a detailed description of the captcha issue and I can try to help.

Session not working on local host, but does on the server.

I am not using WAMP, MAMP or XAMP. I used mysql-installer-web-community-8.0.22.0.msi. Maybe, I will remove and re-install. Thanks.

The CATCHA doesn't working on the server. Here is the URL link: https://lakecountycameraclub.org/forgot_password.php
but it does work on https://caccaphoto.org/forgot_password.php. I will do a line by line comparison to see if I can find the match. If not, I will create anew request for help.

Upload the folder: webassist/captcha/

Also make sure you have the GD library installed on the server.

Those are the most common issues with captcha not displaying.
