Will the curren mysqli tools play well with mySQL 8.0?
My server is running mySQL 5.7 and it's about time to update to 8.0, but I want to be sure it's not going to break any of my sites currently using your mySQLi behaviors? Thanks-

Yes, the pages should all work. I did have to do some updates to the extension to work with Dreamweaver in php8, so installing the latest version of the extensions should address those as well, but the pages themselves would be fine as long as they use MySQLi and not MySQL for all of the database interactions.
