UPS calculation is too high - something wrong

Our UPS shipping calculation seems wrong.
For example, we have an item with:

Length = 8
Width = 8
Height = 6
Weight = 3 lbs

The shipping for 1 item is coming up at $15.38.
2 items at $26.76
3 items at $38.14
4 items at $49.52
And (jumping to) 10 items at $117.80.

I’ve attached the checkout files and eCart file if you need to see any.

Thank you.

Where are you shipping from and to? Have you logged into UPS to see what the correct shipping amount is?

It looks like you are charging whatever is returned from UPS + $4.

You have it set to ship each item individually.

So your results are consistent with a $11.38 charge to ship with UPS.

Maybe try setting it to ship in a single box. That will lower the amount instead of the ship items individually setting you are using now.

Thanks. Below are replies.

- it over calculates on shipping to anywhere, as long as there's more than 1
- Yes, we charge $4 handling

The single box vs. multiple is probably what's causing it then. I'll try that. Thank you

I can't remember where to change it to single box instead of multiple ?

Oh, and yes, we were comparing by logging into UPS.

And, can you tell if it was adding $4.00 per box? or just once?

Yes, it is adding $4 just once. You can update the UPS server behavior on the confirm_cart.php page.
