Trying to install fresh PowerCMS2 on a site that had very old PowerCMS1 - get a blank page

Hi - sorry for bothering you again. I am trying to install the PowerCMS2 on another site. This site had a very old version of PowerCMS on it - so I figured installing it completely fresh would be the way to go.

I deleted all the WebAssist files from the server, deleted the connections file. Changed Server PHP Version to 7.1, uploaded all the webassist PowerCMS2 files.
Created a new database to connect to.

When I went to mysite/install_cms/ it just pulled up a blank page.

Will put in the private message site name and what host company said. Not sure if there is a file remnant from old version that is getting in the way?

The error implies that the connections file is still the old one and wasn't updated. mysql_pconnect() was the old way to connect to the database. It isn't used in the latest version.

Maybe copy the file from a working site and manually update the connection information in that file.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Thanks so much - that got me closer as now I am getting this:
SELECT * FROM wa_settings

Table 'divineloveminist_powercmsv2.wa_settings' doesn't exist

I haven't actually had the install page come up to have it write any of the databases - is there a way to activate the script to do so?

Actually I was able to import the mySQL database from another site over via MyPHP - so it seems to be working now - thanks so much!
