Connection to database stopped working in DW 2019 - getting error "your php server doesn’t have the MySQL module loaded or you can’t use the mysql_(p)connect functions"

I am using DataBridge 2.35 and Dreamweaver 2019. The connection to my database in DW has stopped working and i am getting the error “your php server doesn’t have the MySQL module loaded or you can’t use the mysql_(p)connect functions”. Running PHP 7. I have deleted the connection scripts as you have suggested in other posts. The members section is working on the live site - login page etc. , but as I have said I cannot connect to the database in DW. Thanks for your help.

This is usually an issue with your testing server settings in Dreamweaver. Are you using your live server for testing or a local wamp server? Did you start the testing server? Can you get to the url specified as the testing server url?

Thanks for quick response.

Live server and yes to your other questions. I have another site ( these are live sites not local ) in which the database connection IS working. I know the server setting in DW are correct for the site that's not connecting so I am stumped as to why i cannot connect to the DB. Looks like it's my problem to solve - would you have any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks

I could do screen sharing and look into it with you. My guess is still that it has something to do with your local testing server settings.

If you want to give me a call I can do screen sharing to debug it with you. I'm running out now, but I'll be back in a couple of hours.

I can't spot the issue. Can you attach your site definition. It looks like you are using your live server as your testing server, so I can test from here if I have your connection file (or just your ftp password and I can recreate it from your screen shots)

When do you see that error? I just recreated your connection and it seems to be working for me. I may need to do screen sharing to debug this more thoroughly if I can't reproduce it on my side.

I was getting the error when testing the connection in DataBridge in the Dynamic MySQLI connection dialog box.The database symbol would say no tables found. Then when I would try testing it in databridge i would get the error as in the attached screen shot. I don't know what you did or what happened but the connection is working properly now ! ?? Have any ideas why?

I re-created the connection, which caused the _mmServerScripts to be updated. Sometimes going in and using "Test" in the connection will update the files more efficiently.
