unable to set menu value for lookup field

when setting field when using dataassist page generation option can set the field type as menu but cannot set the options using the lightning button

even the ones generated earlier in year now don't work
changes to setup
dataassist v2
dw 2020
Big Sur OS

there are messages in the background but they disappear to quick for me to read.
is there a debugging/trace option available so I can attempt to find the cause/problem

Are the errors in the wizard or on the page? I'll need to reproduce the issue, so please give me specific steps and I can see if I can help.

This may be related to the preset you are using or your database connection. Please try reinstalling the extension. If the issue still occurs, then post your phone number in the private area of a reply and I'll call you to set up screen sharing and look into this with you.
