Hi Ray, I'm having the exact problem described by rgolfer: rgolfer Testing server issues HTTP error code 404 File found some possible reasons problem: Hi, really hoping someone throw few more ideas testing server keeps coming following error HTTP Error C

Trying to establish connection to sql server database via WebAssist. I go through the WebAssist server connection dialogue, but fail to connect to the server on a 404 error. I can see the connection folder/file with the correct folder/file names on the server file explorer. If I hard code the connection info to a php page and then run the page, the connection is successful and I get a recordset table on my web page. If I use the Dreamweaver CC 2020 web site manager, set up the server, and click on Test, Dreamweaver reports that it connected successfully to the server. However, if I then try to create a recordset, the connection name is not visible and I cannot see my database tables. I will be happy to provide the site connection details privately.

Usually this is a problem with the testing server settings in dreamweaver. Maybe the website url is wrong or the root folder. Make sure your TESTING server is correctly configured in your Dreamweaver site and that should fix this problem. Your testing server should use the same settings as your remote server if you are using your live database for testing in dreamweaver.

Almost There But Not Quite

At the top of the Dreamweaver CC 2020 screen, I click on WebAssist, Database, Model Database.
I then select Connection (in my case NYPConn), click OK
The Data Modeling Grid shows my table names.
I drag my Table onto grid and field names appear.
The Data Modeling Grid is then closed.

I want to create a dynamic table on the web page.
I click on Servers, WebAssist, MySQLi, MySQLi Recordset.
The Recordset panel displays my connection (NYPConn), but "***No Table Found.
I then elect to edit the connection using my database connecton parameters.
In this panel, I click TEST and get the 404 Error Code. The web host file explorer shows the missing file in the proper folder and location. For some reason, Dreamweaver/WebAssist is not seeing the file (MMHTTPDB.php).

I've built and rebuilt the Testing Server but obviously am still missing something.

We did a screen share and found out that the website URL setting was wrong for your testing server. Once we fixed that setting the connection worked properly.
