New Issue on updating database.

Hi Ray, for some reason the database will not update. My client got his error screenshot attached.
My page just shows a blank
He said: i tried by clicking the pencil icon
then entering"
gold 1954.00
platinum 937.00
silver 27.44

all returned that same error

I also note that i f you click on the name of the metal it goes to the details page but it too, shows odd stuff at the top but no details

This was all created within the data assist module.

this is the syntax created by DA <?php echo((isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("goldpricesupdate","WADAUpdateRecordID"):$_GET["metal"])); ?> for the update.

It looks like the connections got placed lower than the update code on the page... just move lines 17-19 up to the top and see if that fixes it.

YES IT Fixes it ! BUT THEN IT GOES TO THE DETAILS PAGE AND SHOWS
DETAILS
metal: But SHOWS NO DETAILS

BTW, I fixed the css in the header.

The recordset is missing on the details page...

Add a recordset named: WADAgoldprices_details

It should be the same as the recordset on the update page, just with a different name.

thanks... why didn't DA create that or use the exist recordset when it wrote the page?

It should have... did the wizard crash or error? Did it maybe get stuck on a page and add it to the wrong page?

with all the delays I am not sure if it crashed. However all those pages were created by the wizard. So...

Something went wrong. It either crashed before it completed or was on the wrong page and couldn't add the recordset properly. It usually adds the recordset.

Ray, it is working much faster on my laptop in Catalina. I don't know or hope that isn't the issue, cause I don't want to upgrade my desktop

I'll try with a safe boot on the desktop... should WA still work in safeboot?

I think so... as long as Dreamweaver works.
