Feature Request (Automatic Token Insertions)

Hi,

Would it be possible to have an option somewhere that would automatically place the appropriate tokens at the base of a message, such as:

“UNSUBSCRIBE
please either click the underneath link, or else copy and paste the whole of the URL into your browser. You will be automatically unsubscribed. Thank you.

*:Unsubscribe:*

At present I always have to remember to do this manually. I unfortunately just sent out a rush mailing to people on my list due to issues with Zoom (first day of many schools/colleges doing their online tuition, so leading to denial-ofe-services issues with too few servers) and of course forgot to insert that option.

No biggie, but it would be nice if some similar option or text could be inserted as a default choice.

Thank you,
KB

The problem is figuring out where to add it. Since the messages may be built with HTML, the link position can't simply be placed below all of the other code. It really has to be placed manually.

I could probably add an alert message warning you that you haven't added an unsubscribe link, but actually adding it wouldn't be possible.

If you want to give me a call I'll do screen sharing with you to help you add the error message so you don't forget moving forward.

Hi,

You have been so kind to me, that I was originally going to say "No", don't bother, I will just try harder to remember in future.
But I then felt that it might be more useful to accept it, and tell you how it works, in case it is worth adding to the product itself.
After all, it is really only of any use to someone who knows how to add the relevant message.
So the first question is ... if you add the alert message, would that involve you in getting questions about what it means, because those who don't know might think it was a useful feature, and that sticks you with having some enforceable policy.

So I'll say yes in case (a) it is actually useful; and (b) you think of some way of incorporating it into PM without increasing your own overhads.

I have classes to teach from now until the evening so today (Monday) is out; and I have classes to teach until 1:00 pm tomorrow, so any time Tuesday afternoon is fine. However, Wednesday is probably the best bet as I am free all day.

Thank you,
KB
