Fixing old sites

Hi Ray, I have old sites for a client that seem to have broken with updates to php and mysql . The one in question was created in 2009 to 2011. I used DataAssist to build it I believe. with the Authenticate user and now that login page no longer works https://www.cartierbuyer.com/admin/index2.php

I am wondering if upgrading to DataBridge 2 ( I assume that is the replacement for assist? ) can help me update the old forms that aren't working?

Our DataBridge will work with php7 and CC2020. It adds the database panels back to replace what Adobe removed.

Unfortunately your includes look like you were using Interakt and not our code, so a lot might have to be re-done. Our extensions will update any code written with native Dreamweaver server behaviors or with WebAssist server behaviors to work with php7, but other libraries would have to be updated manually or replaced.

Thanks Ray so... is a MySqli seamless replacement?

I am ready to get the databridge. Just curious though... what happens if the host is still running mysql and not mysqli? Is it the same database but just a different interface? I.e., does it have to be an MySqli db? Also, is the new coding backwards compatible if the host is running php 5, e.g?

It is backwards compatible... MySQLi is supported on php5+

The database doesn't change. Just the php code that connects to the database changes. You can run mysql and mysqli on the same site or even the same page in previous versions of php.
