I want to insert the id from the logged in user as a hidden field and insert the name, address, city with the option to update

I did open the server behaviors and added a hidden field.
Now I want to:
1. Get the cur date and add that to the column auction_cons_date as hidden value
2. Get the contact info - name, phone, email, city, state and zip from the user table in the form field so it displays by default but also allows the user to type in the text field to overwrite.

I have attached the page.

1) No need for a hidden form field. Just Bind that value to the Current Timestamp in the insert or update server behavior. (If it is an insert you can just set the database column type to timestamp and set the default value to Current Timestamp there)

2) Just filter a recordset with the logged in user ID from the session. Then you can use that recordset to pre-populate the name and address information in the form.

1. It is an insert page. I will try that. There is another column in the database that being updated on timestamp.

2. I am not sure of that process. I will check an existing page and see if I can figure it out.

If you already have a field with a default value set to current timestamp, then use the other method like we did on the user update page to set the value to the current timestamp.

Just start by creating a recordset filtered with the userID from the session. Then you should be able to use the values from that recordset to populate form elements on the page.
