add sales tax

I got buttons all set up easy peasy - however, I can't figure out how to be able to add sales tax and/or shipping to the button? It doesn't prompt m e for this info?

You can set up tax and shipping rules for the eCart Object by opening the eCart Object floater and editing the eCart Object that you want. There is a section for adding tax rules and a section for adding shipping rules.

Also when you are running the Checkout wizard, you can specify the shipping provider and you will be prompted for the shipping provider info. After specifying the shipping information you will be able to set the tax information.

You are not adding the shipping or tax information to the add to cart button.

Thank you for your response. How do I open the e-cart object floater? Is this another extension? I am using the web assist paypal extension. I can't find a help doc or readme. I feel like I'm pretty computer literate and very good w/ Dreamweaver. I'm obviously missing something big here. Or do I do this from my paypal account?

I apologize, I had thought you were using eCart. If you go into your Download center, go to your PayPal eCommerce Toolkit downloads and under Extensions there is a PayPal eCommerce Toolkit Recipes download. This has tutorials in it that will be helpful for you in setting up for taxing and shipping. One you've installed this, you can go to Help->WebAssist->WA PayPal Recipes in Dreamweaver to access the help documents. Sorry again for the confusion.

Confused about Sales Tax

I followed the instructions in the recipe book and even though I have set up the account to include sales tax (page 11) I am not given the option to add it while setting the item up. Am I missing something?
