Trying to do a simple recordset display. I can create the MySQLi recordset and it will access the database. But then I can't display any fields on the page.

Just purchased Data Bridge to work with MySQLi connections for Bluehost hosted sites. I can add the recordset but after that, Dreamweaver will not let me insert the database fields for display. Whenever I try and add something to the page, the options grey out.

I've also gotten errors like 'please open a php page' and 'you must first create a recordset' when I have a page open and I have created a recordset.

What version of Dreamweaver are you using? Can you send a screenshot of what you are doing? This sounds like an issue that Adobe resolved in a prior version, but if not I'll need more information to reproduce it and try to find a solution.

Hi Ray - it's 20.0 build 15196 per the "About Dreamweaver" info. It's a creative cloud version so it should be up to date. I think I've figured some of it out. It might be more to do with working with the Dreamweaver interface. I was unable to insert any dynamic fields into the WYSIWYG version of the page, but I was able to insert them into the code version and then cut/paste them where I needed them to go. Any attempt at formatting there though was causing Dreamweaver to replace the database calls with the text of the actual data.

I think drag/drop from the bindings panel may not work right, but you should be able to use the "insert" button from the bindings panel.
