Where do I change the filiesize limitation and how to redirect?

I have two questions. I'm getting an "This page isn’t working. 'my webpage name' is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500" whenever the filesize exceeds 1.5mb. I don't see the options for that on the file upload function.

1) where is the file upload size limit (in kb)
2) how do I control where it goes when it exceeds that size limit?

Thanks.

You have to change the settings in your php.ini file to allow larger uploads. There are a few settings that might need to be updated. A quick google search on the issue came back with: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2184513/change-the-maximum-upload-file-size

You can set a custom 500 error page using your htaccess page. Another google search came back with: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25869504/htaccess-show-404-403-500-error-pages-via-php

I have on my php.ini.

post_max_size = 500M
upload_max_filesize = 100M

So, I thought it was a setting in a webassist file. I will look at the google search results.

Thanks.

Use <?php phpinfo(); ?> to see the actual settings. You may be updating the wrong php.ini location. The output will tell you the actual set value for those settings as well as the php.ini location that would need to be updated.
