How can I connect to SQL-Server?

How can I connect to SQL-Server (I want to create a login system on my server (Linux Server) Which uses MySQL/PHP. however the database with the data I need is on a different server which uses the SQL-Server db (running IIS). Is it possible to do the connection and use Secure and Data Assist? If yes, can you please send me some instrucitons?

Unfortunately we don't offer a solution for other databases. Our system only works with MySQL and not MS SQL Server.
