How do I add editing tools to cms

I know a while back I used PowerStore and the cms came with the tools used for editing, like for word processing apps - bold, italic, underline, bigger font etc.

I would like to add those tools to some of the CMS generated thru the DataAssist pages.

What do I need to get that in the cms page?

Thanks.

You can use the HTML Editor form element that comes with DataBridge. Just replace the current form element and use the same name.

I just finally got to doing this. It looks awesome. I haven't tried inserting anything. But when I do, I was wondering how does it know to update the text area element I replaced. Is it just because I named it the same?

I replaced:

<textarea id="DefinitionLong" name="DefinitionLong" rows="30" cols="60" tabindex="5" ></textarea>

and called the <textarea name="DefinitionLong" ...

Is thall all?

Yes. As long as they are named the same it will submit the same and work with existing inserts and updates.

I saw a 'Save' icon on the tools but I removed it. I was wondering, when clicked on, where would it save to? (since the 'Insert' button hasn't been clicked on)

I think it just submits the form. It wouldn't do anything unless you added a server behavior to react to the form submission.
