Turn on error report or troubleshooting universal email

I feel like I've asked this in years past, but I can't seem to find an answer in the threads. A client website with a long standing web form has discovered they're not receiving submissions. I've tried alternative receiving addresses and indeed, regardless of junk mail filters we're not getting delivery.

I'm looking for a guide or guidance on how to troubleshoot. Is there error reporting we can turn on on the page? What are some things to troubleshoot?

You can dump the session on the page after the email is sent to make sure all of the values look correct.

The history of the email should be saved in the session, so:

<?php
@session_start();
var_dump($_SESSION);
?>

Will give you a lot of information. You can confirm the TO and FROM address are set correctly and that there are no errors in the body by viewing that result.

Another thing you can do is create a simple test script to see if email is working on your server in general using some of the code examples on the php website here:
https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mail.php

If you can't send a simple email using those test scripts, then it is likely an issue on the server, so no amount of debugging your code would make a difference.

If you update to DataBridge v2 then you can use a more modern and feature rich email solution. It includes an option to send authenticated SMTP email just like you would through your phone or computer. That is a great way to get around spam filters and not rely on your webserver to send emails and to actually use your existing email server. It also has a debug mode that shows all communication between your SMTP server and website that would help debugging any issues if they did arise.

Thanks Ray. Putting out a lot of fires so circling back to this. The output is as follows:

With all the NULLs, cleary something isn't working. Odd thing is, I haven't touched this site in years so I don't know how something would have changed. Attaching. Does anything jump out at you?

I found an issue with jquery not being called before the validate, but I've fixed that and console is now clear of errors but still have the same problem.

Gmail is very strict when it comes to validating email. It could be a deliver-ability issue. I'd need FTP access to debug this. I can't spot an issue in the code and can't even be sure if there is one without more extensive testing.
