CMS not connecting, getting blank pages

CMS not connecting, getting blank pages

My ISP moved my files to another server. Everything is there and works except that cms pages are blank. The only difference I can find is that the new server is using PHP 7.1 and I cannot downgrade to 6. Is there anything I can do to make my cms files work?

In an attempt to resolve this I created a new Connection file for sqli, uploaded this in place of the old Connection file but still the same problem.

The current version of PowerCMS does not work on php 7. You will need to downgrade to php 6 or below. I am working on an update to powerCMS, but it isn't fully developed or tested yet.

Unfortunately the new server does not allow for a downgrade to php 6. I thought the new Databridge v2 fixed that. Oh well looks like I'll have to remove powerCMS from all the websites.

Any idea when the new version of PowerCMS will be available?

I don't have a date for it yet. I could give you a sample site with a php7 version running if you wanted to manually update your pages to match it. It has not been fully tested and some new features might be half implemented, but it appears to be working. That is the best I could do for now.

When you get a chance to send the link to your sample site I wouldn't mind trying. Thanks!

You can download it here: https://www.webassist.com/PowerCMS.zip

You will have to manually update the Connections/PowerCMSConnection.php file to have the correct database, username, and password.

Thanks Ray,

I replaced the CMS files on the server with the new ones from the zip. I then tried to log into admin_cms. It brought up the login box but when I tried to log in I got:

SELECT (SELECT Count(*) FROM pcms2_contents as ps4count WHERE ps4count.ContentGroup = pcms2_contents.ContentGroup AND ContentRefID NOT LIKE 'meta-%') AS ContentCount, ContentGroup, Min(ContentID) AS ContentID, ContentPageName, Min(ContentPageSetParentID) AS ContentPageSetParentID, ContentPageSetOrder FROM pcms2_contents GROUP BY ContentGroup ORDER BY ContentPageSetOrder DESC, ContentGroup, ContentID

Expression #4 of SELECT list is not in GROUP BY clause and contains nonaggregated column 'awieseth_awcms.pcms2_contents.ContentPageName' which is not functionally dependent on columns in GROUP BY clause; this is incompatible with sql_mode=only_full_group_by

I tried creating a new empty database but when I uploaded it I get the same message as above.

Do you have any idea of what is happening:

Thanks

Can you put it up live somewhere that I can get FTP access? You could probably get around it by updating the MySQL setting sql_mode=only_full_group_by and turning that off, but I'd probably rather update the SQL statement to work with that setting turned on. If you send me FTP access, then I'll try logging in and get this fixed for you.

I'll need the url and login information you are using to be able to reproduce the issue as well.
