Problem with validation when using Bootstrap tabs. How to clear the current querystring value?

I have a page with a series of tabs. On each of the tabs is a form with WA_ServerValidation.
The Redirect for each of those validations has to reference the correct tab, however when you initially get to the page you've already had to specify the initial, opening tab, which remains in your querystring, for example:
view_order.php?tab1=1

...when you do the validation on, for example, tab 5 then your Redirect URL does this...
view_order.php?tab5=1&validation5=1&tab1=1

...so BOTH tabs are displayed and it usually leads to one no longer being clickable.
Is there a way to wipe the existing querystring value during the validation Redirect?

Thank you.
NJ

I think if you update all of your <form> tags in the html to use action="view_order.php" instead of action="", then that should remove the initial tab setting and prevent the repeats.
