upgrade dataassist page from DB1 to DB2

upgrade dataassist page from DB1 to DB2

Hello Ray,
I have a set of admin pages created in DataBridge 1 using the datassist pages wizard.

Now I would like to upgrade them to DataBridge 2 and MySQL.

What the best approach to do this?
Recreate the dataassist pages from scratch?
Or is there a better way?

I tried to edit them adding a new MySQLi connection and updating pages to use it.
But I get any sort of errors while the wizard publish the pages (see attachment).
I tried to delete the usual wincache file but with no luck: the error persist.
I reinstalled the DB2 extension but nothing changes.

Starting a news of datassist pages from scratch doesn't solve the problem.

TIA

Tony

The easiest way is to create a new MySQLi connection and then open existing pages and update the connection used. That should cause the code to be updated.

I can do screen sharing with you to debug this error. I'd start by reinstalling the extension, clearing the winfilecache, then reproduce the error. If it still occurs then I'd have to dig through the code to determine why. Please post a US phone number or Skype contact information if you continue to have this problem and need help debugging it.

Hello Ray,
there nothing to do: I tried to unistall completely DB2, manual cleaning the files left by wassist, reinstalled.
All this, multiple times.
I also tried to create a new set of dataassist pages from scratch: same error as above.
Here is my skype account as private message.

Thanks, Ray.

Hi Ray,
thanks for your help.
Can you post here a message when the DB2 extension will be updated?

Hello Ray,
just to be more "compatible", I uninstalled dreamweaver in italian and installed DW in english.
I just have one error, generating pages using dataassist pages (see attachment).
I haven't installed the new version yet. But I'll post here any difference.
TIA

Try reinstalling the extension and let me know if you still have the issue and we can set up a screen sharing session to debug it.

I installed the new version, but I'm not sure: I compared the new zxp file with an older one but winmerge says they are identical. :O.
Perhaps when installing the new version is downloaded automatically?
In any case, after re-installing the exension I get the same error: "please insert a Recordset to use Database Search".
TIA

Please contact me via skype and we can do another screen sharing session. I'm busy tomorrow, but can probably do it Friday in my morning.
