Odd emailing strings on final render

Hello,
I've been seeing my emails that have absolute links to images failing to properly show the image. Looking at the code in the associated file we have this proper image tag

<img src="https://hotellecabanon.com/Images/LeCabanon-white-wSun_190.png" alt="Hotel Le Cabanon" width="190" height="65">

Absolute, no problem, right?

Looking at the final email (source) the proper image path is replaced with a partial concatenated string reference the path to the email template:

<img src="http://hotellecabanon.com/webassist/email/templates/eco-fullwidth/https://hotellecabanon.com/Images/LeCabanon-white-wSun_190.png" alt="Hotel Le Cabanon" width="190" height="65">

The attached image shows how the partial path to the template file matches the final rendered string which obviously fails. AND it's writing to a non SSL page. The DW site uses https.

Looks like a BUG

emailing code:

<?php
if ($_SERVER["REQUEST_METHOD"] === "POST") { //WA Universal Email
$Email = new WA_Email("rates-and-availabilityx");
$Email->From = "Reservations@HotelLeCabanon.com";
$Email->XMailer = "tls";
$Email->Method = "smtp";
$Email->Host = "192.168.100.97";
$Email->Port = "25";
$Email->SMTPAuth = true;
$Email->Username = "REDACTED";
$Email->Password = "REDACTED";
$Email->addTo("".((isset($_POST["email"]))?$_POST["email"]:"") ."");
$Email->addBCC("Steve@sgdesign.com, Reservations@HotelLeCabanon.com");
$Email->BodyFile = "webassist/email/templates/eco-fullwidth/html.php";
if (function_exists("rel2abs") && $Email->Redirect) $Email->Redirect = $Email->Redirect?rel2abs($Email->Redirect,dirname(__FILE__)):"";
for ($emailGroup=0; $emailGroup<sizeof($Email->To); $emailGroup++) {
$Email->Subject = "Reservation Confirmation";
$Email->send($emailGroup);
}
$Email->close();
}

I'd like to debug this on your server. Can I get a url to reproduce and FTP access?

Credentials shown in attached screens.

You can use this page to set live reservations (Use March 2020).
https://hotellecabanon.com/rates-and-availabilityx
(https://hotellecabanon.com/rates-and-availabilityx.php)
This page does not send notices to the site owner and you should get a copy of your reservation sent to whatever email address you use.

I'm not sure what the issue is, but I see that file has:

<?php require_once("webassist/email/WA_Email_temp.php"); ?>

When I test with:

<?php require_once("webassist/email/WA_Email.php"); ?>

It appears to work. I'm not sure what is different about that file, or why you have changed it, but it appears to be causing this issue.

Hi Ray,
Not sure as those files you reference were changed in Jan of this year.
Comparing the files the difference is the lack of httpS and using http.

I'm still getting erratic results as shown in the screen shot BUT looking at the message html it IS pointing to the proper URL for the image and the image exists so.... so maybe some odd condition with Mac Email client? Not sure...

Thank you for reviewing.
