No email receipt

No email receipt

we had ecart online store in coldfusion and our payment gateway is payflow pro and everything was working including sending email receipt to the client. Now because of the Sdk update of payflow pro and you have told us you are no longer support coldfusion, we are changing our store to php. While everything works, it does not send email receipt. The transaction went through successfully and we got the confirmation page but no email receipt show up. We have tried with the SMTP IP, smtp.***.org , and mail.****.org - it did work. Can you help us with what we need to do.

You may be able to leave the SMTP server field blank. If that does not work, check with your host provider to find out what the correct SMTP server address to use is.

If you are sure you are using the correct SMTP server address and the email is not coming through, the host should be able to look into the SMTP servers error logs to give an idea of why the email is not being relayed.

What mail object are you using? Mail or Pear mail for SMTP?

Some hosts will require that you pass a username and password to authenticate with the SMTP server before the email will be relayed, if this is the case with your host, you will need to use Pear Mail for SMTP as the mail object.


Your host will be able to tell you if this is the case.

no email receipt

Jason: we have enabled Relay on SMTP settings and we are using localhost.

the SMTP Server name is correct. We have a joomla site which uses the same mail setup and it works. We even test the server with test script and we got the email. I don't know why ecart receipt is not relaying. Our store is down because of that - please help.
