PHP Access Violation at 01C4CE2F

I am setting up my first Power Store. I have added categories, but when I try to add a product I receive this error: PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 01C4CE2F on the Products_Insert.php page.

The product does not get added and images do not upload.

Are you running IIS webserver by any chance? I found this while searching, bug.php?id=28929, and it seems to indicate it's a problem with IIS and running PHP in a certain way.

I am not sure if this issue is directly related to PowerStore or not, it seems to be more of a PHP issue. If possible it would be worth trying a package like XAMPP (xampp.html) which bundles apache and PHP and makes it very easy to get up and running.

PHP error

Yes it is a Windows server, but since I can create Product Categories and the problem only occurs after I select the product images to upload. I think it might be a problem with upload function and directory permissions.

Where is the upload script and to what directory do the images upload?

PHP Error

Fixed it.

The problem was the directory permissions for the Images/Upload directory.

I should have figured it out sooner, but you should add this step to your setup instructions as well.

Cool, glad you got it figured out. I will make a note to update the setup instructions about the file permissions.
