adding a hidden field

Hey Ray

Am trying to add a hidden field which is then used to add a content line in the resulting email.

On this page, when the practice is selected in the main form, currently selecting the practice then uses the practice email to send the relevant practice the submission. I am also trying to add the practice name (PracticeName) so its not visible on the form, but is then added to the email. The code is in the repeat on like 264

Have tried using a type="hidden" but that doesnt work so not sure what to do?

Cheers

Jamie

You would have to use javascript to write the practice name to the hidden form element onChange. Another option would be to add a recordset to your email body page and filter it with the submitted PracticeID value so you can get the practice name from the table itself.

Jamie

so you couldnt use the RS that is already on that page (PracticeNav) to do that?

You would have to filter it based on the row selected. Technically you could, but it would be a little trickier since you want to use that RS to populate the selections when the page first loads and then find the row selected and use it to display the name after it submits.
