Double Opt in tutorial not up-to-date
I really like your tutorials. But unfortunately some of these are not up to date. With DataBridge V2 and Mysqli, much has changed. Which means that unfortunately I can't follow them.
I want to create a Double-opt-in registration and have gone through your tutorial that you have created for this. But it contains so many errors, which makes it impossible to follow. Below I have compiled some of the errors I found.
In view of the time I spent on following this tutorial in text-form and also as video - I hope that you will update this promptly so that I can shortly do my Double-opt-in registration.
Here is my compilation:
Error number 1.
Section 11: "Configure the confirm page", subheading "Create the recordset".
#15. Select randomString.
#16. Click the WHERE button.
This does not work. Nothing happens in dreamweaver then I do this. I don't know if there is something wrong with my program. But I need to write the code manually. And for doing that I need to follow the video-tutorial there I can see the code: "AND users.randomString".
----
Error number 2.
Same section and subheading.
#26. Select UserEmail.
#27. Click the WHERE button.
Same problem as above. Nothing happens then I click "UserEmail" and then "WHERE" button. I have to write the code manually: "AND users.UserEmail".
----
Error number 3.
Same section, subheading: "Reset the user's session variable to verified status"
#3. Change the Trigger to Recordset: rsVerify is not empty.
There is nothing saying this in my Trigger-menu. Can I manually type this in?
#4. Make sure the Name is set to emailVerified.
There is no "emailVerified" in the Name-menu. I need to manually write this to!?
----
Error number 4.
Section: "Store verified status on login"
#2. In the Server Behaviors panel, open the first SecurityAssist Authenticate User.
There is only one and its called "MySQLi Log In User (authenticate, users)", and this is not the same. Here is no "Session Values" tab.
Sadly, I have to stop after this, as it seems to be completely different now.
