Databridge 2

Hi, Having installed Databridge 2 I have worked myway to the point where I am receiving the following error when serving a form-based PHP page.

syntax error, unexpected 'else' (T_ELSE) in E:\xamppServer\htdocs\SITENAME\public_html\webassist\email\WA_Email.php on line 177.

When I look into WA_Email.php I can see that all the public functions are highlighted red so I guess this is a one fix for all scenario?

I am running PHP 7.3.1 in xampp and opther pages all serve fine. Any thoughts would be appreciated as I can't seem to find much documentation on Databridge 2 (and being Friday I sort of have that why did I upgrade feeling!).

Many thanks in advance.

Doug

Are you on a mac or pc? Can you attach your copy of the file that gives the error: \email\WA_Email.php

I've seen this error by another user and that file was corrupted. I'm not sure how that happens. I've attached a good version of that file you can try replacing to see if that resolves your issue.

Thanks Ray.

Copy attached .... I'm on PC

Your file got me a little further down the line. I now receive the following errors upon processing the form ...

Notice: Undefined variable: connectionXXXX in E:\xamppServer\htdocs\XXXXXX\public_html\contact.php on line 17

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function Prepare() on null in E:\xamppServer\htdocs\XXXX\public_html\webassist\mysqli\queryobj.php:476 Stack trace: #0 E:\xamppServer\htdocs\XXXX\public_html\webassist\email\WA_Email.php(510): WA_MySQLi_Query->execute() #1 E:\xamppServer\htdocs\XXXX\public_html\contact.php(25): WA_Email->send(0) #2 {main} thrown in E:\xamppServer\htdocs\XXXX\public_html\webassist\mysqli\queryobj.php on line 476

(Where XXXX is the client)

I'm also getting site definition errors in Dreamweaver, but then there are any. I am connecting to the remote database OK.

The download is zxp rather than mxp but Extension Manager seems happy enough - could there be file corruption as part of the unzip/install?

.zxp is the new format. Adobe moved to that after CS6.

The error you are having now seems to be an issue with the connection file. I'd have to look at the pages to determine what is wrong. Can you attach a copy of the contact.php file and the connection file? I can look at those and see if I can spot the issue.

Hi Ray

Many thanks. I am one of those Neanderthals who resent the monthly subscription model so I am working in CS6.

Attached are the requested files. I have uninstalled/reinstalled/remade but all to the same effect.

Many thanks,

This line is missing from the top of the page:

php:
<?php require_once("Connections/connection301.php"); ?>

Thanks Ray - bit aof a 'Doh' moment with that one.

Though I thought the inclusion would be automatic as before?

Doi you think it may be a one-off scenario?

Many thanks again (Password info all changed from example files)

This may be a bug when using the email logging feature. It may not add the connection file properly. Not many people use the email server behavior on a page with logging without any other database interactions, so I may not have run into this one before. I've logged it to my to-do list to investigate for the next update.
