Cart confirm page not displaying correct items selected

On the confirm page the cart display now only shows the first item added to the cart but with the quantity of however many other items were selected.

For example I choose product 1 and add to the cart, then product 2 and add to the cart, then product 3 and add to the cart.
The cart correctly displays the selections but once you go to checkout and to the confirm page the display will show Product 1 with a quantity of 3 instead of the three individual products.

thx
Eric

Usually this is because you aren't sending the correct ID to the cart. The cart uses the ID column to determine if it should add a new item or increment the quantity. If you send the same ID for multiple add to carts, then the quantity is updated.

Okay I see what you mean. Can I add something to the id input so it becomes unique since they are choosing a different size?

Yes, or you can go to your cart object definition and define the size column as "unique" and that would force the cart to create new rows if either the id or size change.

What could I add to the id to make it unique?

I'd update the cart to include the size as unique... but you could just change the id number to make it unique... add another number to the end.

You could also update the cart object to convert the ID to a text value instead of integer and append the size to the ID itself.

I tried that but I am getting an error. The sizes are being pulled from a separate table since they are priced based on the size and whether a product is framed.

I think I am not seeing the solution because it is obvious and I am overthinking it.
The option allows a size to be chosen and that is on a repeat region so it is pulling the prID from the GicleePrice table.

You shouldn't have needed to update your add to cart page at all... just the eCart object itself. How about just go in and change the "Name" column in the cart and mark it as unique.

Aha!

I get it now. That works!

Thanks Ray!
